I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
