Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a fence and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the Australian man shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
